Ninety textile artists stitched their response to the Covid-19 pandemic, including members of textiles2020.
The circular pieces were all started and finished during the first lockdown in 2020, and organiser Lara Hailey turned them into a stunning quilt which you can see on Instagram @sewnantidote or on the V&A website here.
Pieces ranged from Annika Strandberg’s depiction of Boris Johnson our ‘Clown Minister’, Veronica Thornton’s ‘when this is over let’s go fly a kite, to Rachel Gillard Jones’s stitched response to the toilet paper shortage, which included a bit of quilted loo roll (the V&A textile conservators discussed how to preserve this unusual material).
